Packed weekend

Bailee came home this weekend. I have missed her so much and it felt like the house was whole again with her there. She is thriving and doing so well at school! She brought her friend home. He is a freshman from Arizona. She gave him goo goo eyes all weekend and he was very nice to her. We played games and enjoyed their company. 

We spent Saturday at Lagoon with the family. 

We also watched some conference (some with their eyes closed lol).

Mom and Kevin leave for Japan in the morning. I can't believe I will be without my mommy for two years! 

Some lessons I've learned from mom:

• be generous

• you can never have too many shoes

• card games show your true (sometimes merciless) side 

• be the first to help

• always look your best 

• be a parent first and in the end, they will be your best friend

• family first

• go to the temple often 

• be your kids biggest fan

• live in the moment

• make brick rolls and honey butter 

• homemade is always better

• there is always a silver lining

• you can apply mascara while driving

• always be nice 

• it's okay to make mistakes

• your dreams are worth going after

• grammar is important

• visit family often

• stand up for what is right, even when it is not easy

• don't do things for the recognition 

• take care of the poor, old, and needy

There is so much more that she has taught me.
